Hi Bruce, As you are learning AngularJS, you should do yourself a favour and read the style-guide. <https://github.com/johnpapa/angular-styleguide> Get rid of all this $scope mess. Probably your issue will surface as soon as you switch over to the recommended way of working.
Also, you switch in your alert on when you add a new title, but I assume you are not going to empty that title when you are done adding? Hence the reason your alert stay's visible.
