Hi Kyle, I didn't look too deep into your problem. But, for sure the current default setup for the CLI does not support loading modules outside of its own root. (if that is not your issue, please clarify!)
You might want to look into the nx-extensions <https://nrwl.io/nx>, I think this tool will support your use-case!
