Hi Frank, The constructor does run before the template is added. so it will alway's return null. BTW, even after the initialization of the template, your function would return null. My guess is you don't have an element with id "getLangSelector() !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
