As part of Best practises , I would like to add , 1- please use HTTPS for the complete website. 2- Generate a random Token (check for suitable random no generators) and store that in a DB with user Id as key 3- Send the random token as part of a link to the user 4- User clicks on the link and code in server checks for the random token and allows the user to proceed with chainging his password
