Depending on your setup, your Angular 6 application is probably bigger in 
size, so it takes a bit longer to load. However, as you have seen rendering 
is much faster in Angular.
Kendo grid is a 3rth party that's not really influenced by the version you 
are using. 
You can optimize load time in both angular and in angularJS apps. Also, 
once the new ivy engine is ready, Angular apps will be much smaller  
(hopefully V7)  so the difference in boot time will be a lot smaller.

If your question is, what should I use if I want to guarantee long-time 
stability, maintainability,  and performance of your app, the answer is 
Angular, not angularJS.
