Hi Jula, I wasn't aware that this was already possible. Cool. however, you are aware that it only works in certain browsers? By looking around I found a native sample <https://github.com/quarklemotion/html5-file-selector/blob/master/src/Html5FileSelector.js>. It's not too hard to wrap this in a service + component in angular. I know I will make in implementation in the near future, but I can't give a time-frame. My spare time is rather sparse! (and yet I keep on using it to answer questions in here :) )
