Toerless, I don't know what to do at this point. I'm gonna focus on running code for awhile. I think that we have more than enough document which has not been validated with running code... I'm sure that all the issues you have mentioned would be immediately found by someone trying to do running code in the scenarios (network configurations) you mention.
Please propose a solution, ideally in the form of pull requests, or at least issues on the document repos themselves.
