Thanks a lot Sheng,

A bit more logistics:

1. The authoritative agenda for the WG meeting is the meetings notes page:

   https://notes.ietf.org/notes-ietf-117-anima

We have already created on the notes page a list of WG documents, and even if
you do not want
to have a slot, we instead need for WG documents a quick summary of status/work
since last IETF (if any).
So, simply add that information to the notes page below the entry for the
document.

2. For your slides:

We had complaints about the gory detail reports in some of the slide decks in
prior IETF.
I am sure there are also group members who enjoyed watching those details, but
those who did
not enjkoy them would have rather spent more time on discussion of open items.

So, some suggestions:

Please prioritize the slot time on any aspect that most benefits from
discussions
during the WG meeting slot.

 - Keep status update short, ideally one slide, but of course if a lot of work
was spent on a lot of
nitty-bitty details, try to make sure the amount of work is represented by
simple numbers
(X meetings / hours, Y commits, Z lines of text changed or the like).
This status update is not necessary useful or sufficient for the
participants who want to
understand everything, but there are always folks that wonder if/what amount
of work was done,
especially when most of it did not happen on the ANIMA mailing list. The
most frustrating thing is
when those people think/claim there is now working happening, when actually
it did.

 - If there is an open issue, try to explain the open issue and think about any
questions about it you could ask durign the meeting. It often helps to think
about different
angles and ask them. Including suggesting options.
We do have a lot of fancy tooling, we can have raise hands in meetecho
   to get "crowd-opinion" ;-)

 - If its about understanding of anything more complex, that is newly written
into the draft, please try to write an email in the coming to weeks
suggesting to
the WG what specific new pieces/text in the draft they may want to read up on
so that you ideally can quickly get to ask the room if/how they
like/understood the new text.

- You can always build more slides explaining stuff that WG participants are
meant to read
themselves without the slides necessarily having to be squeezed into the slot
- aka : do not
present them but remind the WG they are there.

Hope this is helpfull. Of course, suggestions/experiences from others very much
welcome
too for the topic "how to make our in-face meeting most useful to everybody".
And of course:
feel free o reach out to us WG chairs with PM if there is something you do not
want to share
in public!

Cheers
    Toerless
