Dear ANIMA WG,

we are going to have an IETF 118 side meeting, for those interested, on how to handle discovery in BRSKI-AE, and more generally on the options for discovering BRSKI nodes and the features they support.

It is going to take place on Nov 6th at 14:00-15:30 CET in Room Karlin 4 at the IETF 118 venue in Prague. It will also be possible to join remotely via a Teams meeting <https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_ZDYzY2U3MGUtNmZiOC00ZTFjLWEwODgtYzRmNWY4MTVkNGNj%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2238ae3bcd-9579-4fd4-adda-b42e1495d55a%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%22b10a0893-f9d8-434b-a5e8-6ee626ba9448%22%7d>- Meeting ID:   357 072 360 048     Passcode:    poSX7V

This information can also be found at https://wiki.ietf.org/e/en/meeting/118/sidemeetings <https://wiki.ietf.org/e/en/meeting/118/sidemeetings>.

Specifically, as I will also share in the WG slot on Tuesday, the current BRSKI-AE draft https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-anima-brski-ae <https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-anima-brski-ae> has been enhanced in section 4.2.1: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-anima-brski-ae-06#name-pledge-registrar-discovery <https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-anima-brski-ae-06#name-pledge-registrar-discovery> to provide a minimalist approach that should be sufficient for engineered environments, while pointing also at a more general solution in [BRSKI-Discovery]. It has been discussed already at BRSKI-AE GitHub issue 32 <https://github.com/anima-wg/anima-brski-ae/issues/32> and in the design team meetings and is going to serve us as a basis for further discussion.

The current [BRSKI-Discovery] draft can be found at https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-eckert-anima-brski-discovery/ <https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-eckert-anima-brski-discovery/>

Best,

    David
