Title: Intelligent Data Plane (IDP): Framework and Protocol Considerations

The draft describes a framework and protocol considerations for an
Intelligent Data Plane (IDP), focusing on bounded, policy-constrained,
and observable data-plane processing. It discusses standardized signals,
result models, decision function abstractions, telemetry exposure, and
communication patterns between data-plane nodes and management/control
systems.
We would like to ask whether this work has relevance to ANIMA, especially
with respect to autonomic networking, self-managing network behavior,
policy-constrained control, and possible interaction with autonomic
functions or autonomic service agents.
We are not requesting adoption at this stage. We would appreciate feedback
on whether the abstractions in this draft are useful for autonomic network
management, and whether any coordination with ANIMA would be appropriate.
