Hello! With a quick overview, it seems that Animata might be nice tool in making short movies, animations, musicvideos and videoart.
What I was missing, is the reference manual where basic functions are explained, and from where to check how them should work if problems occurs. If you get stucked with the project, by comparing you routines to user manual you can sort out whether you are trying to do something which is not possible, or if in the application there is a bug or something illogical.
