Hello all,

Since I'm not much of a programmer, I have looked for alternatives to using
PureData or Processing to create and send OSC messages to Animata. I have
found a neat utility called
MouseTrap<http://www.humatic.de/htools/MouseTrap.htm>that can
translate mouse/keyboard input into OSC. I think it will also
translate midi input into osc, which is what I would really love to do (so
that can use my midi keyboard with pitch bend and modulation wheels).

The first question is simply is it possible to use MouseTrap to send osc
message to Animata. If so, can anyone provide advice on how to configure
MouseTrap for Animata? I've set the send port to 7110, and tried various
combinations of position headers etc. without luck so far.

I'm really excited about using Animata, and I've figured out how to rig
images with bones and joints. Now all I need is to know how to puppeteer
them!

I'd be very grateful for any help at all. If MouseTrap isn't the solution,
can anyone point me towards a configuration that will allow me to puppeteer
with either mouse/keyboard input or a midi device like a piano-style
keyboard?

-L
