Good point! I wasn't aware that the standalone QGIS had its own Python. Unfortunately I have no Windows machine to dig into the problem, but I can suggest a hack: search for site-packages folder somewhere into C: \Program Files\Quantum GIS Mimas\ and move the rpy2 folder of Python 2.6.4 into it. If not, I think it's easier to use OSGeo4W install for everything except R and R packages. Hope this helps!
