POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH
POSITION IN LARGE-SCALE ATMOSPHERIC DYNAMICS The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Tech has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research fellow in large-scale atmospheric dynamics. Successful candidates will conduct research in the area encompassing atmospheric low frequency variability, extreme weather regimes and the low frequency modulation of Earth's energy and water cycle. A PhD in atmospheric science (or similar) and a strong background in statistical methods and dynamical diagnostic analysis are required. Experience working with large multi-dimensional datasets (such as modern reanalyses and/or output from coupled climate models) is desirable. The initial appointment is for one year, renewable for one additional year subject to satisfactory progress. Salary is commensurate with experience. For full consideration, please send (via regular mail or email) a statement of research interests and qualifications, a curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information of three references to: Robert Black/Yi Deng, School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Georgia Institute of Technology, 311 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30332-0340, email: rob.bl...@eas.gatech.edu or yi.d...@eas.gatech.edu -- Robert X.
