International postdoctoral fellowships in Marine Sciences
First edition - 2012
A new program for young scientists, co-sponsored by the LabexMER
cluster of excellence, Ifremer, the University of Brest and the
Brittany Regional council.
The aim of the program is to give creative young scientists (PhD + 3
years) the opportunity to develop their own research project in one of
the LabexMER laboratories in Brest, South Brittany or in Nantes (France).
Research projects must be relevant to the LabexMER. The priority
research axes involve many disciplines (physics, biology, chemistry,
geology, geophysics, geography, ecology…) and encompass the global
ocean, the deep ocean and the coastal environment. A description of

Fellows are appointed for two years.
Funding includes salary and support for travel or small equipment and
supplies. Applicants must propose collaboration with a local host from
one of the laboratories of LabexMER.
