The dinner was a resounding success! I think everyone had a pretty good time,
and the food tasted great.
A huge thank-you to everyone who came together to make this happen: to Nate and
his wife Vicky, who lent us their kitchen and some ingredients, and who helped
with so many of the meals; to Dave, who drove me around and helped cook, along
with Siu; to Molly and her boyfriend for helping to prepare a couple things
last-minute; to Colin2 (Phoul) for getting the media playlist ready (it would
have been pretty boring otherwise!); and to all the people who each helped set
up or clean a couple things at the last minute: Ron, Justin, Thor, and anyone I
didn’t see.
We made a total of about $200! This is after all the driving around and buying
things.
Someone made a cheque out to SkullSpace for the “Meme Fundraiser”, but I’m
pretty sure he would have donated regardless, so I’m not going to count that.
But there’s an extra $100.
I think it’s time for a vacation.
