Today's meeting is going to be at 6pm, as usual, in the SkullSpace lounge. And it's going to be an important one (though not as important as next week's!) We have a lot to talk about this week! We've mentioned in the past (both at meetings and on the mailing list) that the landlords weren't happy with our old lease. The new one is ready, and it's time to look at our options. The admin team has put in a lot of time lately figuring out the lease and what the best options are. This required negotiation with both the landlords and AssentWorks to figure out what our options are. In today's meeting, we're ready to present the options we have to the membership, and in our next meeting (October 30) we'll have a very important vote about the lease that'll shape the future of SkullSpace. The information will, of course, be posted to the mailing lists after the meeting. I realize that we aren't giving a three-week notice about this vote, which we generally should, but unfortunately we don't have time. By next meeting, we need to make a decision, one way or another, on what to do. We have to decide something soon - and "do nothing" isn't an option. I'm not gonna lie - it's gonna be a tough decision. Every option has positives and negatives, and I expect lot of discussion and disagreement on what we are going to do. But I'm confident that we'll be able to come to an agreement in the end that'll work for everybody! And what would a hackerspace be without discussion and disagreement, right? :) Anyway, that'll take up most of the time at today's meeting. We'll also have some followup on events that happened last week and upcoming events as well! See you there!
