In conjunction with Skullspace's participation in the
Cyber Defence Challenge project, a few members have taken the training
seminar for McAfee's Online Safety For Kids program (info available
online). In a nutshell, it is a program covering cyber security and safety
practices in an age-appropriate manner for kids K-2, grades 3-6, grades
6-8, grades 9-12 and also for parents.

If you can get past the 'McAfee' part, the program is actually quite well
designed and very well targeted for the age groups. It is also free and
well supported in terms of resource materials, schwag give-aways, etc.

There are free training sessions (online) for the program coming up and it
is very well documented.

If anyone is interested in working with young people or parents / educators
to deliver short (approx 1 hour) presentations on basic online safety ,
please contact Ian Trump or myself. If anyone is curious about the program
and would like to tag along to a session with me or another presenter, or
would like mor information, please get in touch.

For those of you who need resume padding, this is a great opportunity.
