Hey folks, After tonight's meeting, so about 7:00, we're going to invade the classroom and do some talks. Everybody is welcome to hang out and see!
The talks will be related to the capture the flag challenge we did on the weekend, and will be: - Mak: What CTFs are, and how sksp is making a name for itself - Alex: Decoding morsecode with blinkenlights, and breaking crypto with compression - Ron (me!): Exploiting a binary using return-oriented programming I expect the whole thing to run 2 - 2.5 hours, but I'm not going to be a stickler on time. Mine is going to be the longest, because there are a lot of fundamental concepts I want to explain, but I'm hoping it'll be possible for anybody who understands programming to follow it! Honestly, once you wrap your head around return-oriented programming, it's a little bit easier than traditional exploitation. :) See you there!
