Hello everyone, SkullCamp will be held this weekend, August 17 and 18, approximately an hour south of the city at a location disclosed to registrants.
As it is an overnight camping event bringing gear, food, water as you would for a Birds' Hill weekend is appropriate. There will be a variety of events and activities throughout the weekend to participate in or you can kick back and relax in an almost-concrete free environment with minimal light pollution! The facilities will be set to receive registrants from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon, full details are available here: https://www.facebook.com/events/665364410158214/?ref=22. One thing has changed from the FaceBook info due to sponsorship: we are changing the $40 attendance fee to "Please donate what you can or would like." For those already registered by emailing [email protected], location details will be transmitted later today. For those wishing to register, please email [email protected] and indicate the number of attendees in your party. Remember - it got to 5C last night with highs of 26C so sweats as well as shorts are needed, campfire blankets, etc. For arranging car pooling, tent pooling, gear (cooler, food) pooling and similar arrangements please use [email protected] / irc / as you prefer. See you there! - Richard
