SkullSpace! It's been a great week for us. We had the awesome WinnipegJS usergroup visit Wednesday, some of us saw things that they wish they could un-see at our Friday hangout night, and we had a great music-themed Hackathon last Saturday.
The next two weeks are relatively quiet, but rest assured that a lot is in the works. Check it out for more details! *Saturday June 28th - Insect-based Foods Presentation* Nick Hiebert is launching a startup that sells insect-based foods, as an alternative to animal protein. He will be doing a 45 minute presentation on insect-based foods, focusing primarily on environmental issues and how insect-based foods can solve a lot of problems plaguing the world. Samples will be available to those attending. Yum. *Friday July 4th - "Work" from SkullSpace Day* Do you typically work from home but miss the 'joys' of 'working' with fellow human beings? You're in luck! On the first Friday of every month, you can come down to SkullSpace and enjoy the camaraderie, fun, coffee, and 'productivity' that comes from working in close proximity to members of the same species. *New Stuff* The music hackathon went great! Kudos to all involved - our awesome organizers, wonderful speakers, and 'cultured' attendees. There was even a jam session afterwards! It's just been hiding in a dark corner of our web presence, shamed by its tragic lack of updates.
