Forwarded to the list from Bill Redpath.

Dear LPVA Members:

The LPVA presidential petition and the Redpath for Senate petition are still in
need of signatures, particularly the Redpath for Senate petition, which has a
deadline of Tuesday, June 10, as opposed to the presidential petition, which
has a deadline of Friday, August 22. I am cautiously optimistic, though, that
the Redpath for Senate petition will succeed.

That said, both petitions still have a tremendous need for volunteer
signatures. Both petitions will be sent to the LPVA Announce List in separate
emails.

There is a great petitioning opportunity this coming Tuesday, May 6 for
petitioning outside polling places for local elections around the Commonwealth.
This email lists all local elections around the Commonwealth, by county or
independent city, for Tuesday, May 6.

Given the small size of many of these towns, not all of these localities will
provide good petitioning opportunities. However, the larger towns and
independent cities will have good petitioning opportunities. Many of these
localities will have only one polling place, so all voters will be one polling
place. In those places in which there is more than one polling place, please
call the local Board of Elections to determine which polling places have the
most registered voters, and go to those polling places to petition.

More about the Tuesday, May 6 elections to follow in other emails.

Thanks very much, Bill Redpath
