URGENT: West Virginia Ballot Access UpdateJuly 11, 2008Dear friend,I'll make
this brief - we have a unique opportunity to get our West Virginia ballot
access petition drive off to a good start this weekend. I've arranged for us to
have petitioners at a gun show this afternoon and tomorrow in Beckley, West
Virginia. The show opened at 3:00 pm this afternoon and runs all day tomorrow.
If you are in southern West Virginia or Northern Virginia, we need you to
volunteer to work at our outreach booth. In order to do that, though, you must
be "credentialed" to legally gather signatures. The good news is that getting
credentialed is free. The not-so-good news is that you need to be credentialed
in each county individually. I know this is asking a lot on short notice, but
I need you to go to download and print the "Official Credentials" form. Take
this to the Raleigh County Clerk's office, and any other West Virginia counties
you can get to. Remember, you'll need a separate credentials form for each
county that you get signatures from.The W. Virginia Secretary of State's office
has reviewed the petition form and said it meets the requirements. When you
print these off, it's crucial that you remember the following:
1) The signatures on each page must be from the same county - and they have to
be from a county the petitioner is credentialed in. 2) The county they are
petitioning in needs to be filled in at the top of the page.Email me at [EMAIL
