That I continue the fight to elect independents and I am asking for your help on the March 10 special election here in Fairfax County. I know you may not be inclined to help an independent because we are not running as a Libertarian, but we share many common goals and have worked on libertarian causes with you in recent elections. Just last month we joined your fight against HB2642 and congratulate Bill Redpath for his outstanding efforts in defeating that bad legislation. Our candidate for Braddock District Board of Supervisors is Carey Campbell, a committed and well-known civic activist who petitioned with me in 2008 to put Ron Paul on the ballot in Virginia. At the last minute Dr. Paul declined and we substituted for the Constitution Party candidate since the Libertarians already made the ballot line. I personally have helped Libertarian causes helping Nathan Larson make the ballot for congress in 2008. I made phone calls for Arin Sime for state senate in 2007. And as author of the website: www.usBillofRights.org I continue to advocate retention of our civil liberties. The latter was what remains of the anti-PATRIOT Act work that I did alongside a great libertarian Ron Crickenburger. One of his last deeds was to help our coalition draft the language for the Safe and Free Resolution that then-Chairman Gerry Connolly promised to pass, then reneged. So I only ask that you put out the word as allies in the struggle. Send your friends in Fairfax, Burke, Springfield and Annandale a request to vote for Campbell next Tuesday - or any day this week at the Fairfax Government Center. Details are on the website. It is true that Mr. Campbell advocates a light rail system around the capitol beltway instead of the boondoggle toll road. The whole process that got us those toll road is ripe with no-bidding, illegal contributions and the giving away of our public property to a foreign entity. As Dr. Paul stated recently, it is okay to invest in infrastructure here in the US, in fact much better than blowing things up around the world, then sending our tax dollars to rebuild. We have always agreed with Dr. Paul: bring our troops home and quit wasting our tax dollars overseas. Please pass the word. We have walked the entire district since November 11. We have visited 39,000 of the 40,000 plus homes. Voters are with us. We have a real chance to get elected. Every vote will count (if the electronic machines cooperate) in a small turnout. Please contact me if you can do more. Many thanks.
