As some of our readers know, the number of delegates the Virginia LP is allowed
to send to our LP national convention depends on how many national members we
have as of the "cutoff date". For more information about this, see the
"Delegation Chair's Manual" at:

This year, the cutoff date is TODAY, Saturday, October 31, 2009.
The national LP's delegate allotments are determined six months prior to each
national convention. Our 2010 national convention will be held between Friday
May 28 and Monday May 31.
In that light, I'd like to ask you to take a few moments right now to renew
your membership in the Libertarian Party. Your membership expiration date is
printed above your name on your LPNews label.
Remember, today, October 31, is the last day to join the national Libertarian
Party and have your membership count toward determining Virginia's delegate
allocation for the national convention in St Louis. If you're considering
joining the national party, now is a GOOD TIME to do it. If you need to renew,
there's no time like the present!
