As you are probably aware, the 2014 Libertarian Party of Virginia State Convention will take place on Friday and Saturday, February 7th and 8th. The event location is the Hilton Garden Inn Richmond Airport, 441 International Center Dr., Sandston, VA, 23150. This message contains information about the convention. If you are a member of the LPVa, you should soon receive a postal mailing that includes this information and a registration form. Saturday (Feb. 8): 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.: Registration (morning beverage service available) 9:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.: Welcome to the convention; state of the LPVa (Chuck Moulton) 9:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Business session - The following business will be on the agenda: * Consideration of proposed constitutional changes * Election of officers (chair, vice chair, secretary, treasurer) * Endorsement of statewide candidates * Election of delegates to the 2010 national convention * Consideration of resolutions 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Buffet lunch in the American Grille restaurant (Buffet to consist of two types of salads and three types of sandwiches, along with individual bags of kettle chips, desserts, fresh fruit, and coffee and tea) Note: The restaurant is not usually open for lunch. It will be open for us, and will accommodate us from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in case the morning session ends early or runs long. Those who purchase lunch will be given a lunch ticket. 1:30 p.m. - 2:20 p.m.: Speech by Rob Sarvis (afternoon beverage service available) 2:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.: Panel discussion about 2013 campaigns 3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. : Panel discussion about 2013 campaigns 4:00 p.m. - 4:50 p.m.: Breakout session(s)? 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.: SCC meeting 6:00 p.m. - ??: Join your fellow Libertarians for dinner! The American Grille should be open for dinner for those who wish to dine at the hotel.
