Apache Maven Daemon is a daemon infrastructure for Maven with caching capabilities and a native client for a better and faster user experience. The 0.9.0 release embeds Apache Maven 3.8.7 while the 1.0.0-m4 release embeds Apache Maven 1.0.0-m4.
