The Apache Tomcat team announces the immediate availability of Apache
Tomcat 9.0.0.M18.

Apache Tomcat 9 is an open source software implementation of the Java
Servlet, JavaServer Pages, Java Unified Expression Language, Java
WebSocket and JASPIC technologies.

Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M18 is a milestone release of the 9.0.x branch and
has been made to provide users with early access to the new features in
Apache Tomcat 9.0.x so that they may provide feedback. The notable
changes compared to 9.0.0.M17 include:

- Updates to the early access version of the Serlet 4.0 API to align it
  with the most recent discussions in the Servlet EG

- Support for Java 9 during annotation scanning

- Enable ALPN (and hence HTTP/2) for NIO and NIO2 connectors when using
  JSSE for TLS on Java 9

- Update Tomcat Native to 1.2.12 to pick up the latest Windows binaries
  built with OpenSSL 1.0.2k
