Topics

Steve Drucker and Dave Gallerizzo, "All About Google"

During this session we will cover how you can leverage Google services to improve your applications and business. The far-reaching discussion is broken-up into three sections:

1) Google.com Search Engine Optimization Learn how to optimize your dynamic sites in order to get great placement within the Google.com search engine. We'll also cover Google Analytics, Google Adwords, and Google Sitemaps

2) Google Code & API's Create your own custom search engines with Google CoOp and the Google AJAX API. Build Google mashups that combine custom search, local search, blog search, and mapping. Make money by linking your custom search to Google AdSense. We'll briefly take a look at Google Gadgets as well. Learn how to use the Google maps API to add compelling GIS functionality to your web applications.

3) Google Search Appliances Google currently retails two search appliances -- the Google GSA and the Google mini. During this session, we will talk about the differences between each and how we integrate their functionalities into large content-managed ColdFusion sites.

Estimated length of talk: 2 - 3 hours, depending on questions.
