Subversion and Subclipse: Beyond Commit and Update
Everyone has heard about the importance of source control. This presentation will not attempt to persuade/dissuade the listener, but will instead try to examine how the subclipse plug in for eclipse makes revision control easy. The basics of commit/update will be reviewed, and then we will quickly wade into deeper water. Branching/tagging will be introduced and discussed, along with the merge functionality. Finally, we will examine how merging allows us to deploy new feature releases, bug fixes, etc. in to the main development branch.
