Improvements to File Handling in ColdFusion 8
Steve Drucker of Figleaf Software will show the changes to CFFILE, PDF Handling, ZIP, and Presentation creation using the new version of ColdFusion, version 8 (aka Scorpio). If you have not had time to try the beta version of ColdFusion 8, this will be a very informative presentation showing the extensive modifications in PDF creation and other new features to be found in the next release of ColdFusion.
About The Speakers
Steve Drucker
Steve Drucker founded Fig Leaf Software in 1992, shortly after graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. Steve is a "Technical CEO" -- A certified Adobe Master instructor, currently teaching classes in ColdFusion, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Connect/Presenter, Contribute, _javascript_, CSS, and AJAX/Spry. He served as course architect and lead author of the official Advanced ColdFusion 7 courseware from Adobe, and was lead developer / architect for one of the largest ColdFusion internet sites currently in operation -- The Voice of America. He has also contributed to a number of books and trade journals. Steve is also the leading contributor to the Paperthin CommonSpot listserv at http://chattyfig.figleaf.com. Steve's latest hobby is trying to keep pace with all of the innovation going on at Google. On occasion, he has also been known to make important decisions about the strategic direction and operation of Fig Leaf Software.
