I have been out most of this week and will be gone again next week. My office phone is forwarded to Trina as I will be out of the country. For those of you still waiting on a response from me this week, I tried to get through most of them today, but came down with the flu later in the day and headed home. I may work awhile tomorrow getting through the rest, depending on how I feel. Trina and I have some exciting ideas for WISPAPALOOZA after visiting Las Vegas this week. For one, we will be surrounding the general session (keynote/luncheons) area with booths in a U-shape fashion. We are also going to dedicate one day as "Vendor Day" so that all willing exhibitors can have 20-25 minute presentations with no educational sessions competing. There are many new products that our vendors are producing that need to be introduced and described fully to the membership. We are also planning a 50/50 Scavenger Hunt with participating exhibitors. Our tentative thought is to charge $250/exhibitor to participate and 50% of the money collected will be awarded as prizes to those who complete their Scavenger Hunt card. More later on these and other developments. Our goal is 1000 attendees, 100 exhibitors and 100 new members. Let's plan on making this the best WISPAPALOOZA ever. We plan on beginning booth sales on May 1st or shortly thereafter and attendee registration on June 1st. From what we can gather so far, this will be the most affordable WISPA conference event, just make sure to register early for the October 22nd-26th event.
