I have had a member email me today that has received numerous calls from Vendors. The caller/salesperson, claims that Rick Harnish, suggested they call and he (Rick Harnish) felt your company would be interested in their products.
THIS IS A TIPOFF THAT IT IS A SCAM CALL! I do not tell any vendor this, never have, never will. I respect our member's privacy and would not recommend they call any of our members directly and in no way am I condoning this conduct or recommending a specific vendors products or services. We have specific rules that vendors need to follow. Our supporting vendors are found on the Vendor Spotlight page <http://www.wispa.org/vendor-member-spotlight> . If you get a call from a company you have never heard of, please refer to this page to see if their logo is there. If not, they are most likely not supporting WISPA and may very well mean the salesperson is harvesting phone numbers from the webpage records. If you get calls like this, please get the person's email address, phone number and company name and email me directly.
