Last week, over 800 attendees converged on Las Vegas to attend the WISPAPALOOZA 2012 conference held at the South Point Casino and Hotel. The attendees were welcomed with an exhibit hall of nearly 70 exhibitors. Educational and informational tracks on Business, Regulatory, Technical and Marketing topics continued throughout the week and were excellent opportunities to share their knowledge on different aspects of the WISP fixed wireless broadband industry.
The WISPA Board announced its conference calendar for the coming year as well. WISPAmerica, will be held the week of April 1st - 5th in Covington, KY (across the Ohio River from Cincinnati) and next year's WISPAPALOOZA 2013 conference will return to the South Point Casino in Las Vegas the week of October 14th - 18th. Look for further details on WISPAmerica soon. At last week's convention, the Annual WISPA Awards Banquet was held on Thursday evening. After a fine meal, Robert Pera, CEO of Ubiquiti Networks delivered a fine keynote speech. The following awards were also given out to very deserving individuals and companies as part of our annual ritual.
