As you all know, the next version of the open source Ansible project
(version 2.3) is currently in development. Our first freeze is the Core
Feature Freeze. This means that all feature work for the Ansible Core
engine will be frozen on 15 February, 2017. Our goal is to freeze
approximately one month before Core Version 2.3 Release Candidate 1.

We will still accept and review contributions for modules (and bug
submissions of course) for another 2 weeks. We can't guarantee that module
submissions during this time will make it in, but we will continue to
review and merge these submissions as normal during this time. At 01
February, we will freeze all feature submissions from merge into Ansible
Core and focus strictly on bug fixes for the following two weeks until
(hopefully) we push out Release Candidate 1. Regards,

Jason McKerr

Director, Ansible Core Engineering
