I came here looking exactly for this. Is this uri module ready for prime time? Or even a beta?
What I've facing is managing an elasticsearch (ES) cluster. ES likes to be managed using http like so .. - Take a snapshot curl -XPUT "localhost:9200/_snapshot/my_backup/snapshot_1? Which I can do with a lot of shell in playbooks but - as you know - that gets messy in a big hurry.
