It's actually possible to do this easily enough if you also define the
tag_Type child groups in the static inventory as well:

# inventory/production
[tag_Type_Web]

[tag_Type_Db]

[web:children]
tag_Type_Web

[production:children]
tag_Type_Web
tag_Type_Db
