Thomas, yes this is the whole playbook. I have watered it down & tested it as is in the playbooked copied to try & use a process of elimination.
The deploy tasks work, as they are part of the bigger play, which deploys successfully as I have been building. I therefore assume it is related to the first task. I have even tested it without the deploy module, but get the same result.
