It seems MailMessage doesn't support multi line responses as defined in Appendix E of RFC 821, I'm looking into it at the moment (trying to figure out how I can tell my local sendmail it should create a multi line response for arbitrary commands). I hope Microsoft adheres to this RFC but am quite sure they do, they would get into trouble with most anybody else otherwise. Stefan
