REPORT #811 Details.

Project: Ant
Category: Bug Report
SubCategory: New Bug Report
Class: swbug
State: received
Priority: medium
Severity: non-critical
Confidence: public
Environment:
   Release: 1.2
   JVM Release: 1.2
   Operating System: w2k
   OS Release: w/spack 1
   Platform: windows

Synopsis:
Optional task "junit" not fount in ant.jar

Description:
Upon persual of the defaults.properties file in the
\ant\src\org\apache\tools\ant\taskdefs\ directory, discovered that the task
"junit" *was* defined to the class
"org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.junit.JUnitTask." Given this, I
expected to find this class in the ant.jar, but to no avail. Is it missing, or
should I compile the task serpartely and modify the default.properties file?
I am currently running Junit 3.4.
Please advise.

Royston McNeill
