In the meanwhile, I'll do some more testing, so integration with the 
next release can go smoothly.

What do you mean when you say iContract doesn't integrate well with 
ant? My task works fine.

And what code still has asserts in it? Is it classic "code" asserts, or 
do you have code with iContract javadoc asserts? Just curious.
