one very fancy way of doing it would be by modifying Ant to use aspects :

Fair enough. It had better be good cake though... :-)
I've done it that way myself in the past. However, I felt a general solution was more appropriate, as using tail is un*x specific (not everyone wants to install Cygwin :-]).
