I'm sure I once tried that and it didn't work. No, just tried it again (creating a new file bla in Ant's main dir and running cvs diff -N -u in there), all you get is a line starting with "?" for the new file. cvs 1.10.7 for Linux that is - I now realize, there is a 1.11, I'll retry. Stefan
