I'm currently having a problem with javadoc on a SunOS platform. For some reason, my javadoc was failing (-debug gave me no information at all) and I believe that it might have something to do with a command line limit. I believe that for ksh on SunOS, my command line has a limit somewhere in the 250 - 300 chars range. To investigate this further, I searched the ant-user and ant-dev mail-distributions, and I found this thread: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=ant-user&m=98456936320221&w=2. The date for the above thread was March 14.
After finding this out, I decided to look at the source code on WebCVS, and I don't think that this issue has been addressed yet (but I have been wrong before). Therefore, I want to check with the dev community to see if anyone has addressed this issue. Oh yes, and another question. Is Ant 1.3 supposed to be java 1.1 compliant, or have we dropped that?
