Our IS staff has been trying to track down why e-mail
to ant-dev takes so long to get there...

They found that, while "apache.org" has an MX record,
"jakarta.apache.org" does NOT have an MX record. Because
of the need to run various programs such as virus scanners
on e-mail, external sites need to have an MX record. Apparently,
that generally isn't a problem because it's pretty much
an industry norm...

So I am sending this test message to [EMAIL PROTECTED],
and [EMAIL PROTECTED] If it shows up twice,
with a big time delay between them, that will confirm
their diagnosis. And, it would suggest the admins at
'apache' need to get an MX record set up for jakarta.apache.org
