something is fundamentally wrong with your bat file, and it is that that
needs fixing, not inserting a quick hack to make your symptom go away

0. win9x or NT?
1. did you ignore the stuff in the install file about not installing to a
long file name on '9x?
2. which ant version?
3. what are the error messages?
4. if you comment out the @echo off line at the start, what do you see next?
