Se voce quer carregar imagens de um banco de dados deve ler os bytes da imagem utilizando o BLOB, uma vez com os bytes na mao voce devera montar a imagem utilizando as bibliotecas apropriadas, ou entao voce tera que criar algo que receba os bytes e monte o objeto imagem, que e o que eu acho que vai acontecer.
