You shouldn't assume that everyone is using Ant to build your classes or that your specific build.xml file is used. A problem with @version@ is that your code is not in sync with CVS anymore. If you have a Version.java file, you must remember to _not_ commit it after the @version@ in it has been replaced. I'll try to contribute but my problem is that I have too many idea and too little time.
