I assumed it does aswell ... Adam - what do you mean by this?

extra attributes are only needed in very rare cases IMHO - and to be honest I 
have not ever come across the need yet ;)

Not sure what you mean "just in that descriptor". Theres a whole slew of 
ClassLoader issues when you want to define a Role in one antlib but use it 
from another - is this what you mean?
