Exec doesn't find correct path if using nested ant files.

If I understand the explanation correctly, exec will only work properly if
the program you are trying to execute is in the path variable?

This doesn't seem very friendly. I would like to use ant and have my builds be
independend of the settings of a specific machine. This makes maintenance a lot
easier.

I use the exec to invoke the idlj compiler wich is located somewhere else in
the tree structure stored in version control system (clearcase). If two project
would have different versions of idlj both would have to be included in the
path on the build machine???
